Configurable Top Status Line

The top Status Line contains a HOME link, Breadcrumbs and Login Details. You can choose to display it or not simply by editing a Custom Setting Variable.

Configurable Horizontal Menu

When I was viewing the phpMyDirectory Owners Forum, I noticed a lot of people were asking about a Horizontal Menu. So, I built one in to my templates. It’s all in HTML. By editing the template file, you can choose whether it is displayed or not and totally customize the menus and where they lead to, be it to another page on your site, or somewhere else.

Site Title And Slogan In Header

You can easily change your Site Title and even a Site Slogan by editing some Phrase variables. They even accept limited HTML so you can change how they display. Simply leave these variables blank to not display this information in your header.

Selectable Front Page Search

You can easily change whether or not the Search Bar appears on the front page or not. You do this by editing a simple setting in your Admin Control Panel. This is useful if you want to customize your Home Page and do not want the Search to show by default.

Configurable Column Layouts

With most templates, if you want to alter the appearance or order of the columns, you’re looking at some major work. Or, in some cases, buying a second copy of the template. With my templates, just cut and paste some blocks of HTML code and you can easily alter the order the columns appear. Use the traditional 3 column layout. Put your two smaller columns on the right. Put the two smaller columns on the left. Just have two columns. It’s all up to you!

Easily Switch To 2-Column Layout

You can easily switch over to a 2-Column layout by changing just 10 CHARACTERS of CSS code and modifying your wrapper.tpl file to exclude one of the columns. The whole process shouldn’t take you more than 15 MINUTES!

Tooltip Generator

You have undoubtedly seen those nice pop-up help windows on some sites. You probably wanted to do that for your visitors, too. I know I sure did. So, that’s why I created an easy way for you to do it too. I tried a number of different open source packages to make it happen. I picked the best one and built in some easy tools for you to use to add a layer of class to your site as well.

I literally spent four days trying out all the options, picking the best one and building this neat little Java function for you to call. This nifty little feature is worth the price of the template itself!

Sexy Bookmarks

You’ve seen them on many blogs. Undoubtedly, they’ve turned your eye. Now, they’re here for your directory, too. Turn them on for your listings or custom pages. It’s just cut & paste. Yes, you could go through reading a whole bunch of forum posts and an hour or so of tweaking and end up with unanswered questions. But, why bother with all that when they’re built right in? Just waiting to be turned on. With all the hard work done for you.

Matching WordPress Themes

For most phpMyDirectory templates we sell, there are matching WordPress themes available as well. So, you can have the same look and feel between your WordPress site and your Directory site. If there’s not currently a matching WordPress theme available for your favorite PMD template (for sale on our site), we’ll gladly generate one for you at the regular price. Just Contact Us.

Complete Documentation

In addition to all the work I put into the templates, I also created a user manual that guides you through the Installation and Configuration of the template. It also shows examples of how to use the Tooltip Generator function. It even gives some tips on using your PMD.
