How This Site Came About….

Hi! I’m Steve Maziarz and I am so glad you’ve discovered this site. I’ve been working with phpMyDirectory since December of 2009. In that time I’ve worked with many clients across the globe to create some very interesting sites based on phpMyDirectory. As my experience with this software has grown, I’ve been sharing tips and techniques with my growing list of clients and e-mail subscribers.

If you’d like to be added to my mailing list – just go ahead and submit your name and e-mail address in the sidebar on the right. The folks at AWeber will help take care of the rest. I use AWeber because they are one of the most reputable firms out there in their vigilance against spam. Unlike most marketers, I’m NOT gonna drown you with a bunch of nonsense e-mails wanting you to buy stuff. I only send out things that are totally relevant to helping you run a successful directory site. As you’ll find out, I barely send out two e-mails a month. Plus, with AWeber at the helm, if you don’t like what you see, just cancel by clicking on the link in any e-mail and POOF your name is instantly deleted.

I’ve been helping other people start and promote their own businesses — both online and traditional — since I was in high school (and that’s been a LONG TIME). In the course of helping someone launch a site, I came upon phpMyDirectory. I had researched about 20 other competing products and chose phpMyDirectory over them all because of the exceptional value it offers. There is no other script that I know of that will let you launch a directory or portal site at the price point provided by phpMyDirectory.

In my research, I saw that phpMyDirectory had the capability of adding Plugins and Themes. So, I figured that was a great thing and there would be plenty of affordable options. Boy, was I in for a surprise. It wasn’t a pleasant one. When I started shopping for templates, I got a rude awakening. There really wasn’t much out there. I’ve been a life-long computer enthusiast who enjoys a challenge. So, I decided to figure out how to easily create phpMyDirectory templates and expand the offerings out there. That’s exactly what I did.

In the year or so I’ve been working with phpMyDirectory, I’ve built an ever expanding base of satisfied clients. My ever expanding search for ways to make my client’s sites better leads to continuous enhancements to the foundation upon which your template will be built.

MATCHING WORDPRESS TEMPLATES!!

I’ve seen various discussions on the phpMyDirectory Community about wanting to integrate a Blog into their PMD sites. There are matching WordPress themes available for most of my templates. So, adding a Blog to your phpMyDirectory website is as simple as installing WordPress and picking up the matching theme. It’s no secret that Google LOVES fresh content on your site. Adding a Blog to your site is the easiest way I know of to make this happen.
